Home Made Pesto

I love basil. I love pesto. I love it so much I call basil Hao-nip. It's like catnip... only for Haos. :D

Anyway, last March, I planted some basil plants. When I went home to Texas for Christmas, I was going to be gone one week with no way to water them... so I decided to kill them and make pesto!

Food for Thought (Feb)

The Contemporary Art Museum (CAM) in St. Louis does nifty free events. On the first Saturdays of the month, they do this thing called Food for Thought. I've been thinking about going and trying free food for a while. I finally got unlazy enough to go today! HUZZAH!

Ice Storm!

So school is closed today! HORRAY! Which means I get to do something random and not profession related! I did, however, need to go into lab to check on something. On the way, however, I managed to take some pictures of the ice storm.

It's really nifty how branches and other things get enclosed in ice. I think it's gorgeous and a bit scary all at the same time.
